Sir the Roman Church lied to everyone for centuries, there is no evidence that your God exists or ever existed at all. I know they convinced you with bad arguments and that they convinced your parents so that in turn they would indoctrinate you from childhood. I'm sorry but all those words don't reach my heart. From faith comes joy, but there is no joy or warmth in this video. It is totally focussed on the negative, instead of help and solace. Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? (Luke 6:41) As a Christian I believe in love and compassion instead of pressure and blame. We are human beings, modelled after the creator. Having negative thoughts and resentments is part of our human nature, because without dark thoughts there could be no light thoughts. God gave us free will and the ability to choose for a reason. To blame the devil is too easy, as adults we have to take responsibility for our thoughts instead of putting the blame elsewhere. The thoughts and feelings are our OWN. Even Jesus got angry and resented the merchants in the temple, and he threw them out. Anger and resentment can be a call to action, for example in the face of injustice. As long as you don't harm other people. The actions resulting from thoughts, that is what really counts. So let's not talk about adult human beings as if they are no more than puppets of the devil. Human imperfection and weakness isn't evil, as long as we sincerely try to do good deeds nonetheless. No need to obsess about one's thoughts all the time. Only God is perfect, and he loves his children in spite of their faults.

I just found out about Madame Jeanne Guyon today. I found her book. I'm gonna read it prayerfully. May God help us draw near to Him.

Thank you for promoting the ‘Guide to True Peace’ - of all spiritual books that I have read (outside of Scripture) it is the most profound. I came across it in the bookshop of Friends House in London when I was a student in the 1970s. I have a copy of the 1815 first American edition which is my favourite. I have ordered your new edition.

A Guide to True Peace is a true classic - I came across it as a student at Friends House in London. The 1815 edition is recommended.
